SkinVive is the first and only FDA-approved hyaluronic acid (HA) microdroplet injectable in the US designed to improve skin smoothness of the cheeks. Unlike other facial injectables that enhance and augment the treatment area, SkinVive improves skin quality by smoothing the skin and increasing hydration. In one study performed by Allergan, the makers of SkinVive, 100% of patients showed clinically significant improvement to their cheeks at the 1 month mark and the majority continued to do so at the 6 month mark. In another study sponsored by Allergan, patients continued to show improved hydration after 9 months.

How do I care for my skin after getting SkinVive? 

Avoid applying makeup for 12 hours after treatment. For the next 24 hours, avoid strenuous exercise, extensive sun or heat exposure, and alcoholic beverages, all of which can slow healing and increase your risk of adverse effects.

Can I combine SkinVive with other treatments?

Yes, although there are a few caveats. SkinVive can be safely combined with neuromodulators such as Botox or Dysport, or even dermal fillers. However, it’s essential to discuss your aesthetic goals with your provider to develop a safe, effective treatment plan.
